  11. During summer months, the  temperature varies from 270C to 450C and during winter months, the temperature varies from 60C to 26 0C. Rains are frequent during Monsoons.

  46. Do's and don’ts are displayed at many places in the Sanctuary.

    • Fire-arms of any kind are not permitted.
    • Pets are not allowed.
    • Entry is permitted only for day time.[Sunrise to Sunset]
    • Littering of garbage is not allowed.
    • Smoking in the Jungle/Sanctuary is strictly prohibited.
    • Playing transistors and tape recorders is not permitted.
    • Blowing of horns and driving above the speed limit is prohibited.
    • Teasing/irritating animals are not allowed.
    • Entry without valid permit is not allowed.

The main species of birds in the Sanctuary are :-Comb Duck, Coots, Lesser Whistling Teal, Northern Pintail, Bar-headed Goose, Common shaddock, Marbled Duck, Pond Heron, Open --billed Stork,  Greylag Goose, Saras Crane, , Egrets, Flamingos , Great White Pelican, Cormorants, Cranes ,White Spoonbill, Black-Necked Stork, Peafowl, Cuckoos, Darters, White-breasted Kingfisher, Sandpipers, Common Teal. Gadwall, Mallard, Spot-billed Duck, Common Pochard, Red-crested Pochard, Ruddy Shaddock, Wigeon, Painted Stork, Tufted Duck, Tufted Pochard, etc.
