Promotion of Ecotourism in Uttar Pradesh

New projects were started for strengthening Ecotourism in the state. Ecotourism facilities are being upgraded in Dudhwa National Park, Katerniaghat and Kishanpur Sanctuary of Dudhwa Tiger Reserve. Ecotourism facilities also have been strengthened in Sohelwa Wildlife Sanctuary, Tikri Forest of Gonda, National Chambal sanctuary, Nawabganj Sanctuary in Unnao and Lakhbahosi Sanctuary in Kannauj. Ecotourism facilities also are being strengthened at Sitadwar in Shrawasti, Sarnath in Varanasi, Sarsainawar in Etawah.

This has resulted in promoting ecotourism in the state. The visitors avail of improved tourism facilities such as accommodation, field infrastructure such as watch towers and view sheds, cycle tracks, walk paths, nature trails etc.
